Table Size - You are able to set the width and height of table either in pixels or in percent. Size based on Percent is determined by the space in which the table is placed. If you have placed content (words and graphics) into a table and the table appears too long, even after deleting any possible blank lines, simply Right Click at the edge of the table, Select Table Properties, delete the Height in table (leave it blank), and then click Okay. Your table Height will be adjusted automatically.

Alignment - place your table Left, Center, or Right in the space you have placed it.

Rows and Columns - when setting up your table decide how many rows you want and how many columns. A 2 rows and 3 columns table would look like this:

Layout - with Cell Padding you choose the distance in pixels that your words and graphics a place from the edges of the tables. Cell Spacing sets the distance that is between the cells contained in a table.

Borders - you may have a table without a border by setting this to 0, or you may choose to have a border that is visible by setting the width of the border to 1 or higher for wider borders. Also set the color of the border here.

Background - you may set the background color by selecting the color drop down box. Automatic will set the background of a table to the background color of your Page Properties Background settings. You may also use a graphic as a background in a table (note: it's difficult to read words on a "busy" background graphic, so if you want your words read, use a light color background with black letters).

Cell Properties - if you have created at least two cells you may edit each cell individually by placing your mouse cursor inside the cell you wish to edit and Right Click. The Cell Properties tool will open allowing you to edit borders, background, layout, height and width. Layout settings allow you to place your words or graphics into the cell positioned Left, Center or Right; and also Top, Middle and Bottom of the cell.

To access all of the Table tools - place your mouse cursor inside the table you want to work on, go to the top of 123 WysiWyg and click Table. The complete list of table tools will now be available for your use, including inserting tables, rows, columns and cells; delete rows, columns and cells; split cells. You may merge cells here, if you have selected two cells in the same row.

Resizing column width of a table (here's the best way to do this):

Let's say you have a 2 x 2 table like this:

And you would like the left column to be 25% of the width of the table and the right column to be 75% of the width of the table.

Place your mouse cursor in the top left cell and Right Click it. Then select Cell Properties and the cell's properties box comes up.

At the bottom you will see Table Width, set it to 25 and click the button to the right that says In Percent, then click Okay.

Your table cell layout with now look like this:

If you need to adjust the width further, open the Cell Properties again and adjust the width in percent until you achieve the required width.

Split Cells - to split a cell vertically (a split down the middle), place your mouse cursor in the cell you wish to split, go to the top of 123 WysiWyg and select Table > Split Cells.

We split the top left cell by placing the mouse cursor in the cell, go to the top of 123 WysiWyg and select Table > Split Cells.

It will convert this:

Into this (we still have one step to do to make it look right):

Then we put our mouse cursor in the top right cell, do a Right Click of the mouse, and set the width to 50 In Percent, and click Okay.

Here is the end result:

Split a table horizontally - if you start with a table like this and want to split it horizontally, simply place your mouse cursor in the cell you wish to split, go to the top of 123 WysiWyg and select Table > Insert Row.

It then becomes:

Note: Make sure to place some content in each cell before previewing or saving to see correct completed results.

To setup a one page table (like the page you are looking at now)

Simply insert a table into a new html document, leave the width set at 600, leave the height blank. Set alignment to Center. Rows and Columns at 1 each. Cell padding to 20 and Celling Spacing to 0. You can set the Border size to 0 if you do not want a border around your table (you will still see the border in Design Mode, but not in Preview Mode or the finished page). Set the Background Color to White. Click Okay. You will also want to set the Page Background Properties to the color of your choice by clicking File > Page Properties > then click on the Background tab and then select the background color.
